Meet the Team
Dr. Steven Osterhout
While attending Western Michigan University, Dr. Steven Osterhout attained his Pre-Med degree in Biological Medicine, going on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic, as well as a post-doctoral Board Certification in Clinical Nutrition. He is a member of the Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, Academy of Environmental Medicine, ACA Council on Nutrition, and the non-profit Foundation for Wellness Professionals.
At the young age of twelve, Dr. O was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. At age twenty, he underwent open-heart surgery. Experiencing these two profound health challenges early in life created in him an overwhelming need to find answers to why we get sick. This fueled a passion for identifying how poor health develops and what can be done to overcome health issues naturally.
Dr. O’s personal experience with medicine created a respect for what it can do, but it also gave him an understanding of the expansive room for growth needed to accomplish true health. This led to over twenty years of research, science, and participation in natural healing strategies from around the world. He learned firsthand that identifying, detoxifying, and healing the underlying causes of illness in the body creates an authentic opportunity for good health. Combining this approach with a functional medicine integration has led to the creation of Vitality Healthcare, providing our community with the best of medical and natural healing.
Current research suggests only 5% of the reasons for poor health are genetic and correcting lifestyle and environmental culprits can arrest 95% of our health issues. Every person has his or her own unique factors, predispositions, bioaccumulations and stressors. In his practice, these and many more are identified. This creates a healing opportunity and lifestyle of empowerment.
Since 2004, Dr. Osterhout and his team have helped thousands of patients by addressing the causative factors of poor health therefore creating opportunities for the body to heal. We are a prominent wellness practice in the community specifically designed to serve your healthcare needs.

Dr. Angel is no stranger to helping individuals improve their health, having spent many years as a health club owner and certified personal trainer prior to receiving his doctor of chiropractic degree from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. Helping others has always been a passion of Dr. Angel’s. A passion which he demonstrates by gaining a thorough understanding of each patient’s health concerns, and then working together with Dr. O and the other doctors in the office, develops specific treatment programs to address those concerns. These treatment programs are designed with two goals in mind: first to help his patients feel better, and second to help them to live healthier lives. He and his patients achieve these goals through chiropractic adjustments and by identifying the lifestyle influences that are negatively affecting their health - influences such as diet, posture, workplace ergonomics, exercise and other leisure activities all of which have an effect on our physical health. Dr. Angel takes the time to help patients uncover those activities that are having a negative impact their health, and works with patients to make simple, effective changes.
